Lewis Hamilton has been lucky enough to locate and buy the dream private plates for his Mercedes 4 X 4. the registration number is LEW 1S which was first auctioned by the DVLA in 1990 for ?45k. He bought it from present owner Bob Lewis who only had it for a year and paid ?50k for it. Lewis had to offer ?200k to prise the number out of Bob’s ownership , but he can afford it!
