As a warlock in World of Warcraft, your first foray into the world of demon summoning will be the imp. The imp is your ranged DPS pet, acting as a sort of mini mage that you can carry around with you. Much like a mage, your little companion will also throw some buffs your way. Fire Shield gives you some passive damage reflection, and Blood Pact will boost your stamina by a fair margin. In my warlock leveling guide, I recommend using the imp as your primary pet if you are at least 31 points into the affliction tree. The buffs he provides as well as his rapid mana regeneration make him the ideal mana battery for a build using Dark Pact.
